Knowledge Base

This is a private resource — you're here because I've shared it with you directly.

The Knowledge Base exists for one reason: to give you the tools to understand your own affairs. Not to overwhelm you with legal language, not to replace a proper conversation, and not to pretend that every situation is the same — because it isn't. But to give you a solid foundation. A place to start, to refer back to, and to build on over time.

Estate planning touches almost every aspect of life — how you own things, who you trust, what you'd want to happen if you couldn't speak for yourself, and what you'd like to leave behind for the people you love. Most of us were never taught any of it. That gap is what this is here to help fill.

You'll find guides, help sheets, templates, questionnaires, case studies, and a glossary — covering everything from the basics of Will planning through to more specialist documents and planning strategies. Some of it will be immediately relevant to you. Some of it might not be relevant today but becomes so as life changes. All of it is here whenever you need it.

A few things worth saying upfront. This resource is educational — it's designed to inform, not to advise. Reading about a Discretionary Trust Will doesn't mean one is right for you; that's a conversation. Where something raises a question, ask yourself, research, or get in touch. Where something doesn't apply to your situation, set it aside. And where something resonates — where you read something and think "I didn't know that, but I should have" — that's exactly what this is for.

I've been in this industry since 2011, and I'm still learning. The law changes, families change, the world changes. This resource will be updated as things evolve — these are not static documents, nor is it the final word on anything. But it is a genuine attempt to share what I know, clearly and honestly, with the people I'm here to help.

If you have an experience that differs from what appears here, please get in touch. This space is build on real life - and truth has no agenda.

Use it well.

For those who want to go deeper — beyond estate planning and into the framework the legal world sits within — Navigating the Legal World is here when you're ready. It's the series that changed how I saw things. Some people find it immediately fascinating. Others come back to it later. It will be here either way.
